We’re sharing the music stories of industry veterans, aspiring young musicians and entrepreneurs to help others make informed decisions when shaping their own story.
Nishe shares her tips on how to survive in the music industry:
I have come to realise that the only thing that matters to me in the end is working with people that make me feel like I can be myself and that I can have fun with while making music. I feel that in the process of writing especially, it’s important that I feel safe enough to show myself and be vulnerable, but this also applies for performing and even rehearsing. You can have the biggest commercial success and not be happy if you’re not surrounded by people that you care about and that care about you. You need to be able to laugh with those you work with, even more so when you become more successful, in order to put things in perspective and survive everything you have to deal with in “the music industry”, including things that often have nothing to do with music.
